i just wanted to ask, why there is no (official) Carlinkit CPC200-AutoKit support?

As i am a previous user of OpenAuto Pro, i know there was a config tweak to enable CCPA support there.
Because i still have my Carlinkit CPC200-AutoKit i've tried my luck and had success

I've changed the "productId" in the "/home/pi/.hudiy/share/config/main_configuration.json" config file from "5409" (CPC200-CCPA) to "5408" (CPC200-AutoKit) and it worked fine:
-Carplay works
-Autobox Music player works
-Media Metadata via API works

Are there any chances to get official support in Hudiy for Carlinkit CPC200-AutoKit without the need to change the "productId".
Were there any reasons why you didn*t support Carlinkit CPC200-AutoKit out of the box?

Chris, could you clarfy the steps needed to get this working from start to finish? I dont see any instructions on the github. Ive got a Carlinkit device but it doesnt seem straightforward.

Hi, it seems like it's the manufractor (Carlinkit) of the devices. So yes, they should work.
But please double check you select the wireless version wich is the hudiy compatible CCPA version.
The wired version (CCPM) does not work with hudiy.

Wich Carlinkit dongle do you have? There are just two versions wich are compatible with hudiy: CPC200-CCPA and since hudiy 1.2 also CPC200-Autokit (discontinued).
They just works out of the box. Just plug in into usb from your raspberry pi and start carlink (Autobox) via hudiy.

I just gotten the CPC200-CCPA. do I need to install any software to make it work? or just plug the usb and phone all together? or I need to install the autokit into the pi?

Just install Raspberry Pi Bookworm 64 Bit, install hudiy, plug in the carlinkit adapter, connect your smartphone with via bluetooth (in hudiy), start Autobox (menu entry)
