Hi. I'm trying to install the companion app on my Samsung S25+ and get an error saying "App not installed" with no further explanation or other errors.
Installing sideloaded apps has never been an issue, so I'm kind of stuck with what's going on.
Has anyone ever had such issues? Thanks in advance.
Unable to install companion app
Re: Unable to install companion app
Hello,
How exactly are you attempting to install the APK file? If you downloaded it via a browser (e.g., Chrome), please ensure you have enabled permission to install apps from 'Unknown sources'. You can disable this setting again after the installation is complete.

Re: Unable to install companion app
I have enabled the permission, I'm running the installer via the default explorer app, and I'm able to install other sideloaded apps the same way just fine. Could it be something with Android 16 that makes it incompatible? (though usually the error says so)

And you know what, I just redownloaded it directly on my phone, rather than downloading it on the PC and sending it to a phone, and it worked. Weird, but anyway. Thanks for your help
