Pi4 8gb performance

I have a question for the users. Is anyone else experiencing crackling and/or other issues related to ram usage while android auto is on screen?
All my issues (mostly audio crackling and slight stuttering) completely vanish when I return to the Hudiy desktop.
I'd also Iike to ask how the performance is for anyone using anything not as powerful as the pi4 8gb. I'm curious about using a zero 2w to make my setup some compact, but Im wary about attempting it.
