Hello,

Another question apologies.

I was wondering if there’s any scope to make the nav widget take data from carplay? Does the carplay API expose the data. Thanks :)

Unfortunately, CarlinKit dongles do not expose those data. Only media metadata are available.

8-) Thank you. Thats a shame that they dont.

Second question is about frame rate, it can be a bit choppy, is there any options for getting it to manage 60fps like autokit usually can?

Hudiy operates in auto-negotiation mode for resolution and frame rate with CarlinKit dongles, which is the safest option to ensure that CarPlay works reliably across screens of various sizes and resolutions. In most cases, the frame rate should be 60 FPS. Manually setting the resolution and frame rate may cause CarPlay to fail to start in certain scenarios.

Okay, thank you,

Mine definitely isnt, wired or wireless it’s not 60 for sure. Is there anything I can check on my side to see what could be upsetting it or causing a problem, ie my screen and sd card or peripherals.

Could you please let us know which screen you're using (ideally the exact model)? We’ll try to get the same one and test it in our environment.

Hey there,

Of course.

Ive been testing 2 waveshare screens;

https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/8HP-CAPLCD_Monitor
&
https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/8DP-CAPLCD

However my actual screen will be a customized version of this screen below and 8hp. Custom cover glass, and the LCD from 8HP, for high colour gamut. With a Dsi interface like 8DSI-C model. All exhibit poor frame rate.

Let me know how you get on. They’re all pretty much the same screen just some differences in interface or brightness

On our dongles, the settings page is available at http://192.168.43.1

It looks like in the Box Info section you can change the Bluetooth and WiFi names, but there’s no option to change the WiFi password.
