Okay... I think everything is now working. It turns out that the alsa-pipewire package hadn't been loaded on the Pi 5.

Both are now working, but the Bluetooth Tethering of the signal to allow the internet pass-thru during Android Auto isn't quite working yet, but I think that's doable.

It's gonna be a pretty cool setup once it get's completed, but it's taking longer than I thought it would.

Anyhow... thank you for the assist, and hopefully I'll have this whole thing working in a few weeks actually IN the car! Later!!

Okay, I thought that I had already replied to you so I apologize...

It turns out that my Pi 5 didn't have the pipewire-alsa package software, so everything was defaulting to ALSA which was causing low-level locks. Once I got that installed the only issue I had was that Android Auto was taking ahold of my bluetooth and putting the kybosh on my WiFi to just be to the phone which didn't allow for my Python script to access the internet.

Basically I need to install a 2nd WiFi (separate USB dongle) so that when the AA grabs my one WiFi that the Pi has the 2nd WiFi so that my Python script always still has access to the internet. (Sheesh!)
