Hello,
Hotspot in Hudiy is enabled by default. You can enabled/disable hotspot in Hudiy settings or directly in main_configuration.json (restart of Hudiy is required in this case).

Please confirm:
Do you see hotspot icon on status icons bar?
Does any of your wireless devices see SSID that is configured in main_configuration.json?
Does hotspot activation work using Network management tool from Pi OS taskbar?

Additional question:
did you pair your phone with the Raspberry Pi over Bluetooth? Wireless Android Auto needs the device to be paired before it can start wirelessly.

Hudiy is ready for wireless Android Auto out of the box. Just pair your phone, and it’ll launch automatically whenever the phone connects to the Raspberry Pi.

I forgot that i create a post :D

I already solved the problem. I think the issue was related to the first startup after installation with the LAN cable connected. The hotspot wouldn't start or connect to the existing hotspot on my phone.

When I set everything up again and disconnected the cable during the first startup, the problem suddenly disappeared and has not recurred.

i prefer to use USB cable for AA. however, I cannot get it to work by disabling the hudiy hotspot. am I missing anything? I felt that a lot of work needed to configure the hudiy to work seamlessly for a person without much understanding on API. I hope the next update will give more ease of use.

What exactly is the issue? If you disable the hotspot, Android Auto will not connect wirelessly. If autostart is enabled in the settings, Android Auto will connect automatically when you plug your phone into USB. Otherwise, you can activate the connection from the main menu (Connect USB under the Android Auto category). There is no need to use API for that.

I have disabled the hudiy hotspot as I need to use VNC for hudiy setup/modification. hence I connect my phone through the USB but it doesn't trigger the android auto launch. I tried use "Connect USB" but it doesn't trigger the android auto display. The usb cable is of good quality and work with OpenAuto Pro.

This could be a power issue. When you connect your phone via USB, the voltage may drop for a while because the phone draws current from the USB port. What power supply are you using? Do you have the option to test your setup with the official Pi 5 power supply?

On the Pi 5, you can monitor the current supply voltage:

Apparently the USBC cable I used was faulty. No issue now.
