I've been keeping an eye on pactl list sinks and it would appear the sink is set to 100% correctly and then when i run Hudiy again and start carplay/navigation it ducks the volume to 40% and doesn't reset to 100% for some reason... is there a way to force with reboots the sink always sets to 100%?

Love it, I'm 90% completed on my NC build. Have you custom 3d printed the screen base or utilising existing trim with modifications?

A follow up to this, I've seen it briefly mentioned though sometimes when I boot the pi it all loads fine and if I have my autobox plugged in will auto play media but the volume is either a decent loudness or quieter... is there a way to set a consistent volume level or max volume output for best ...

So i started a fresh and reinstalled Trixie and Hudiy and did the system config and weirdly worked for both hdmi and touch input/ disply. Not sure if Trixie changed something lately but I am sure I have tried that previously and it wouldn't take!! Never the less seems to be sorted now.

I've googled this and tired multiple ways but just lost on how to adjust the orientation on my hdmi waveshare screen!

I'm running Pi OS Trixie on my Pi4 8gb with CarPiHat.

- My screen has USB-C power direct from HAT 5v output...
- USB-C to USB-A touch input
- HDMI video.

I use the CarPiHAT Pro 5 with built in DAC for both audio out and shutdown and peripheral connections, then use a shutdown script as a service on the pi (already written and provided by the HAT developers) to control boot up and shutdown.

I used to use an sd card but these get corrupted very easily ...

Yes I saw that and had plugged my mic though the DAC still wasn't producing sound which is when I made the changed previously mentioned and now it seems to work.

Ironically this was an easier/ more straight forward solution compared to my similar issues when I was running 1.2 on Bookworm.

So after a bit of playing around and going back and forth... I found a solution which seems to work through reboots...

I edited the boot/firmware/config.txt file and added the following under {all} section at the bottom:

dtparam=audio=off
dtparam=i2s=on
dtoverlay=vc4-kms-v3d,noaudio
dtoverlay ...
